Attachment 1 - Mini-game Rules

See section 9 for general scoring details.

Game 1 - Laser Leap

In Laser Leap, all players spawn on a rectangular platform with three (3) lives. In each cardinal direction there’s a red zone. From the red zones, a “laser” (sequencer) will spawn and head towards the platform that the players are on. To start, only 1 cardinal direction will be spawning lasers. As the game progresses (every 15 seconds) a new direction will also start spawning lasers. By the end of the game, all 4 directions will spawn lasers.

Participants must jump or crouch to dodge said lasers. Getting struck by a laser will cause the player to lose 1 life. Once the player loses all 3 lives, they’re eliminated from the mini-game. The objective is to be the last player standing. The player who is the last player standing will be awarded 1st place (and the corresponding points), the second-to-last player standing will be awarded 2nd place (and the corresponding points), the third-to-last player standing will be awarded 3rd place (and the corresponding points), the first player to be eliminated will be awarded twentieth place (and the corresponding points) and so forth.

If there is a tie between the players for any placing, the players who tied (ie. who got eliminated at the same time) will receive the highest position of those tied players (eg. if there's a tie between 4th, 5th and 6th players because they were each eliminated at the same time, all those players will be deemed to place 4th and the next player to be eliminated will be awarded 3rd place).

Game 2 - Tropical Twist

In Tropical Twist, all players will start at the course's starting point. The objective of the game is to complete the course the quickest (and before the timer runs out).

Each player will be equipped with “Slippery Feet” that will cause players to slide and gain more speed as they progress through the map. Due to the sliding, players may fall into the water, causing them to be teleported to the starting point.

Collecting the coconut & lime powerups that are scattered around the course result in a speed increase.

Shortcuts are placed around the map to give players an advantage but can be risky.  The players will be scored by the order in which they have completed the course, so the first player to complete the course will receive the 1st place (and the corresponding points), the second player to complete the course will receive the 2nd place (and the corresponding points), and so on.  If there is a tie between the players, the players who tied (ie. who completed the course at the same time) will receive the highest position of those tied players (eg if there's a tie between 4th, 5th and 6th players, all players will receive 4th place (and the corresponding points) and the next player to finish will be awarded 7th place and so on). If a player fails to complete the course in time, they will be deemed to have won the 20th place (along with any other players who failed to complete the course in time) and will receive the corresponding points.

Game 3 - Color Switch

In Color Switch, players will spawn on a 7x7 color grid where the game takes place. A color will be displayed on screen and players will only have a small amount of time to run to the correct colored tile. Every color but the one displayed will vanish, resulting in players being eliminated if they do not make it to the specified colour tile in time. The game starts slow to allow players to adjust but will speed up significantly after each round. The objective is to be the last player standing. The player who is the last player standing will be awarded first place (and the corresponding points), the second-to-last player standing will be awarded second place (and the corresponding points), the third-to-last player standing will be awarded third place (and the corresponding points), the first player to be eliminated will be awarded twentieth place (and the corresponding points) and so forth.

If there is a tie between the players for any placing, the players who tied (ie. who got eliminated at the same time) will receive the highest position of those tied players (eg. if there's a tie between 4th, 5th and 6th players because they are each eliminated at the same time, all those players will be deemed to place 4th and the next player to be eliminated will be awarded 3rd place).

Game 4 - Red Light, Green Light

In Red Light Green Light, all players spawn at the beginning of the course. Flags will be displayed along with text on screen to indicate what the players should be doing.  The objective of the game is to get from the starting point of the course to the finish line the quickest (and before the timer runs out).  The flags and onscreen instructions are as follows: green equals go, red equals stop. If players move when there’s a red light (red flag), they’ll be teleported to the starting point. The players will be scored by the order in which they have crossed the finish line, so the first player to cross the finish line will receive the 1st place (and the corresponding points), the second player to cross the finish line will receive the 2nd place (and the corresponding points), and so on.  If there is a tie between the players, the players who tied (ie who crossed the finish line at the same time) will receive the highest position of those tied players (eg if there's a tie between 4th, 5th and 6th players, all players will receive 4th place (and the corresponding points) and the next player to finish will be awarded 7th place and so on).  If a player fails to cross the finish line in time, they will be deemed to have won the 20th place (along with any other players who failed to complete the course in time) and will receive the corresponding points.

Game 5 - Cyber Sprint

In Cyber Sprint, all players will start at the beginning of a parkour course. Shortcuts are scattered around the map to give players an advantage but are risky. Missing a jump and falling will result in the player being teleported to the starting point. The objective of the game is to complete the course the quickest (and before the timer runs out).

The players will be scored by the order in which they have completed the course, so the first participant to complete the course will receive the 1st place (and the corresponding points), the second participant to complete the course will receive the 2nd place (and the corresponding points), and so on.  If there is a tie between the players, the players who tied (ie who completed the course at the same time) will receive the highest position of those tied players (eg if there's a tie between 4th, 5th and 6th players players, all players will receive 4th place (and the corresponding points) and the next player to finish will be awarded 7th place and so on.  If a player fails to complete the course in time, they will be deemed to have won the 20th place (along with any other players who failed to complete the course in time) and will receive the corresponding points.
